2013 Spring Session
Our PEAK PERFORMANCE Volleyball Training (PPVT) program is open to the public. This program is led by our Club Director, Jon Tom. The focus of our PPVT program is the development of the technical portion of the game of volleyball. Members of this program will receive detailed instructions on the techniques that are essential to the volleyball experience. Each session will have a maximum of 20 - 25 participants. The sessions are limited so that the members will receive maximum repetitions.
This training program will focus on footwork patterns, form, balance & agility. As each member develops their own skill sets the coaches will advance the training to incorporate transitional training, i.e., defense to offense, serve to defense, etc.
Girls ages 10 - 14.
Dates and Times:
May 4, 2013, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM.
May 12, 2013, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM (Rescheduled to June 1, 2013, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM).
May 19, 2013, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM.
May 25, 2013, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM.
All sessions will be held at the St. Andrew's Priory Gym.
Maximum members: 20 - 25.
Payment can be made at the first session.

2012 Hawaii Development Academy
This program is designed to prepare girls for future participation with the USAV and is open to the public. This program is led by experience coaches of the Ho'okino Volleyball Club. The focus of the Academy is the development of the tactical portion of the game of volleyball. Students of this program will receive detailed technical instructions and the coaches will work with the girls on strategies and mental preparations that are essential to the volleyball experience. This session will have a maximum of 15 students. The session is limited so that the students will receive maximum repetitions.
Girls 9 - 13 years of age.

Aloha kakou and welcome to the Ho'okino Volleyball Club from the beautiful island of O'ahu, Hawai'i. We are a competitive girls volleyball program dedicated to developing junior athletes for competition in local and mainland tournaments. Our mission is to provide quality training, emphasizing the values of competitiveness, learning life skills through commitment, and teamwork. During our development we hope that everyone learns to appreciate this wonderful game.
Throughout the year our Club also provides quality training programs, clinics, and camps through our PEAK PERFORMANCE Volleyball Training program.

ALL CLUB MEMBERS BEACH RECOVERY TRAINING (04/29/13)
We will be restarting our beach training program on Tuesdays starting on May 7, 2013. These sessions are open to all club members (non-traveling or traveling). 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Ala Moana Beach Park. Enter the park through the Diamond Head entrance. The Club will be working out on the beach side of the park just past the first concession stand.
Starting on May 21, 2013 Coach Rudy will be introducing water resistence training during these sessions.
15's - 18's SETTERS, ATTACKERS, AND BACK ROW TRAINING SESSION (04/27/13)
Our next session will be on May 15, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Hitters/Setters Training Session - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM & Back Row Training Session - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. At this time these sessions are open to Club members only.
We will be in phase two of the clinics - system concepts; in-system & out-of-system setter/hitter connections, two person passing schemes, multiple blocking schemes, etc. Mental focus and a sense of aggression are the goals of these sessions.
Areas of emphasis - reads, footwork, & form in game-like situations.
PEAK PERFORMANCE VOLLEYBALL TRAINING SPRING 2013 - HIGH SCHOOL (04/27/13)
This summer we will have two high school programs. These programs are open to all.
1) Pre-High School Tryout Program - Advance skills training for girls interested in trying out for their high school teams. Tentative sessions days; July 7, 14, 21, & 28, 2013. Site and times to be determined. Cost $65.00 for eight hours of training.
2) Open Gym - For girls interested in trying out for their high school teams. Tentative gym days; July 4, 11, 18, & 25, 2013 - Kaneohe District Park Gym. There will be no instructional drills taught during these sessions. We are opening the gym doors to the girls to get as much court time before their tryouts. Teams will be created based on skill level. Cost $5.00 per player per day.

PEAK PREFORMANCE VOLLEYBALL TRAINING SPRING 2013 - GIRLS AGES 10 - 14 (04/27/13)
Our Spring Volleyball Training Program will start on May 4, 2013 at St. Andrew's Priory. This program is open to all girls ages 10 - 14. There are still spots available so if you know of someone that may be interested please have them sign-up as soon as possible. Click the REGISTRATION tab on the top menu to register. HENRY'S 15'S AND 17'S TRAVEL TEAM FUNDRAISER (04/22/13)
Mahalo to everyone that made this fundrasier a success. The girls rasied a little over $3,200 in just three short weeks of selling tickets. Great job and don't forget about our next fudraiser in late May early June. More details to come.

Travel monies for airfare and other tournament expenses are due by May 1, 2013. For each team this amount may vary. Please check with your coaches if you have any questions.

2013 NCAA ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (01/26/13)
High school freshman that are interested in playing athletics at the next level should take a look at the NCAA Academic Eligibility Requirements in our DOCUMENT tab above.
These reqirements are for all student-athletes that are interested in participating in NCAA athletics starting in 2016.
WELCOME TO OUR 2013 MEMBERS AND FAMILIES (11/23/12)
Our official season will begin on January 3, 2013. I hope that everyone is working hard during our pre-season practices and training sessions. Don't forget to take advantage of all the opportunities that our Club has to offer to our members.

If there are any team concerns please address the concerns with your coach. If the concern can not be resolved, the next step is to take up the concern with the Club Director. If the concern is brought to the attention of the Club Director, I will hear both sides of the story and come up with a decision that will work best for the team and/or the member(s) involved.
Please remember that we are all here for our members and we all must make sure that our members show daily improvement and grow as individuals, on and off the court, during the course of the season.
